(6) SATCOM Terminal AN/TSC-85 is a SHF system employed at major nodes in the
EAC network to provide long-haul radio links. The terminal can operate in a point-to-point
mode or in a nodal configuration with up to four other terminals. The two versions are the
AN/TSC-85A and the AN/TSC-85(V) 2. The alpha model is housed in a S-280 shelter and the
victor model is contained in a S-250 shelter. Figures 1-36 and 1-37 illustrate the interior of a
victor model.
(7) SATCOM Terminal AN/TSC-93 is a SHF system employed at major nodes in the
EAC network. The terminal operates in a point-to-point mode with another AN/TSC-93 or as
part of the nodal configuration with a AN/TSC-85 Terminal. The radio's two versions are the
AN/TSC-93 and the AN/TSC-93A. Both models are housed in a single S-250 shelter. Figures
1-38 and 1-39, pages 1-46 and 1-47, illustrate the interior view of the alpha model.
(8) Major components and technical characteristics of the above transmission systems
are contained in Appendix D.
