The equipment and soldiers are from an extension platoon from an area
signal company within the division signal battalion.

Four node
centers, represented by the symbol of a triangle inside a circle and
identified in the legend as NC, are deployed. Small extension nodes,
symbolized by a circle with a X inside a rectangle and identified in
the legend as SEN, represent divisional units.
The MI battalion is
represented by the letters MI inside a rectangle. As illustrated in
the diagram, the battalion is connected to a node center, represented
by the solid line drawn from the battalion SEN to a node center, to
access the MSE network.
