The J3 plans, directs, supervises, and evaluates C3CM for the JFC. The J3 also:

Makes C3CM an integral part of the operations planning process.

Maintains constant coordination with other component commanders.

Monitors C3CM activities.

Helps develop C3CM priority intelligence requirements and EEFI to support the

C3CM plan.

Plans C3CM in operations and tactical training exercises.

Is responsible for the JTCB.

The J6 closely coordinates C3CM issues with the J2, J3, and the joint commander's

electronic warfare staff (JCEWS). The J6:

Is responsible for spectrum management.

Develops the frequency management plan and the C3 Protect plan.

Makes sure EW, C3CM, and joint force communications are deconflicted.
