The J2 directs an all-source intelligence collection effort and develops an intelligence
data base for C3CM. In concert with the J3, he develops a recommended C3CM target list. The J2
focuses the collection and analysis effort on enemy capabilities, intentions, and critical C3 nodes. The J2
also:

Plans, processes, produces, and disseminates intelligence.
(2)
Coordinates intelligence planning and operations of component commands.
(3)
In coordination with J3 recommendations, confirms and ranks intelligence
collection requirements that have to be satisfied by nonassigned resources.
(4)
Coordinates counterintelligence and recommended security measures that protect

the joint force C nodes.
(5)
Updates enemy ground, air, naval, and electronic order of battle and the current
situation.
