Locate the run where it will not be broken or detached. For ordinary runs, place the fasteners 24 inches
apart. On wire which is within 5 feet of the floor, place fasteners 16 inches apart. When spanning
beams in cellars or basements, place fasteners on every beam. When a run is made on beams, and
parallel to a wall, run the wire within 3 inches of the wall placing a fastener on each beam.
When running ground wire, observe the following rules:
a. Run the wire as directly as practical from the protector to the ground clamp. Do not make
spirals or bends greater than a right angle.
