(3) Remove the tension rod (10).
(4) On the EL-5(2) and the EL-5(4), remove the screws (3) and the locks (4) that secure the
squeegee roller bearings (attached to the ends of the squeegee roller (5) to the cradles (22)).
(5) On the EL-5(3) and the EL-5(5), remove the screws (1, fig. 3-16) from the cradle (2) and slip
the lock plates (3) with the attached roller bearings (4) of the squeegee roller (5).
(6) Place the squeegee lever in the MATTE position.
(7) Lift the squeegee roller (5, fig. 3-15) out of the supporting cradles (22) and slide the squeegee
roller out of the drier.
b. Replacement.
(1) Slide the squeegee roller (5) into the drier just below the apron (14) and the drum (15). See the
insert on Figure 3-15.
(2) Seat the ends of the squeegee roller in their respective supporting cradles (22).
(3) Place the squeegee lever in the GLOSS position.
(4) On the EL-5(2) and the EL-5(4), seat that locks (4) on the squeegee roller bearings and secure
them with the screws (3) to their respective cradle (22).
(5) On the EL-5(3) and the EL-5(5), slide the lock plate (3, fig. 3-16) with the attached roller
bearings (4) onto the ends of the squeegee roller.- Seat the lock plates on the cradle (2) and secure them with
the screws (1).
(6) Install the tension rod (10, fig. 3-15) and hold it in place while sliding the drive roller (11) into
the drier through its corresponding hole in the left bearing support channel (9).
(7) Seat the inner end of the drive roller and install the bearing retainer (8). Secure it with the
