Learning Event 2:
IDENTIFY THE STEPS NECESSARY TO PERFORM LUBRICATION SERVICES.
1.
Lubrication must be performed at a regular interval to keep the moving parts from wearing
excessively.
2. General lubrication. Lubricate the following points monthly. Use 2 or 3 drops of oil (OE-30). Do not
over lubricate and wipe off any excess oil with a clean cloth.
a. Motor oilcups (fig. 4-2).
b. Pulley stud oilcup.
c. Pulley stud bearing.
d. Lift lever bearing (fig. 4-3).
3.
Stuffing box (fig. 4-3). Lubricate the stuffing box quarterly.
a. Remove the left end panel.
