To replace the
AN/PRC-104A power cable, proceed as follows (see Figure 33):
(1) Verify that the POWER ON/OFF switch on the amplifier-power supply
(J) is set to OFF. If necessary, set the switch to OFF.
(2) Disconnect the AN/PRC-104(4) power cable from connector J104 (R)
on the rear of the amplifier-power supply (J) and from the AN/PRC-104(A)
power input connector (A) on the rear of the amplifier-coupler (B).
(3) Connect the replacement AN/PRC-104(A) power cable to connector
J104 (R) and to AN/PRC-104(A) power input connector (A).
h. RF cable replacement Instructions.
To replace the RF cable, proceed
as follows (see Figure 33):
(1) Verify that the POWER ON/OFF switch on the amplifier-power supply
(J) is set to OFF. If necessary, set the switch to OFF.
(2) Disconnect the RF cable from the BNC connector (G) on the
amplifier-coupler (B) and from the RADIO-RF connector (T) on the switching
unit (U).
(3) Connect the replacement RF cable to the BNC connector (G) and to
the RADIO-RF connector (T).
i. Audio cable replacement instructions.
To replace the audio cable,
proceed as follows (see Figure 33):
(1) Verify that the POWER ON/OFF switch on the amplifier-power supply
(J) is set to OFF. If necessary, set the switch to OFF.
(2) Disconnect the audio cable from the lower AUDIO connector (F) on
the receiver-exciter (E) and from the upper AUDIO radio connector (S) on the
amplifier-power supply (J).
(3) Disconnect the bead chain (holds cable to the amplifier-power
supply) from the retaining washer by removing the machine screw and the nut.
(4) Connect the replacement audio cable to the upper AUDIO radio
connector (S) and to the lower AUDIO connector (F).
(5) Connect the bead chain (connected to the audio cable) to the
retaining washer by fastening the machine screw and the nut.
j. Handset replacement instructions.
To replace the handset, proceed
as follows (see Figure 33):
(1) Disconnect the handset from the upper AUDIO connector (H) on the
