f. Amplifier-power supply installation instructions.
To install a
replacement amplifier-power supply onto the AN/GRC-213, proceed as follows
(see Figure 33):
(1) Place the latched receiver-exciter (E) and the amplifier-coupler
(B) on the top of the amplifier-power supply (J).
(2) Slide the latched units toward the rear of the amplifier-power
supply (J) until the receiver-exciter (E) and the amplifier-coupler (B)
fully engage the retaining cleats on the amplifier-power supply (J).
(3) Tighten the fasteners (I) over the hooks located on the front of
the receiver-exciter (E) and the amplifier-coupler (B) until both units are
securely attached to the top of the amplifier-power supply (J).
(4) Connect the audio cable (chained to the front of the amplifier-
and to the upper AUDIO radio (S) connector on the amplifier-power supply
(J).
(5) Connect the AN/PRC-104(A) power cable to connector J104 (R) on
the rear of the amplifier-power supply (J).
(6) Slide the amplifier-power supply (J) with the latched receiver-
rear of the amplifier-power supply will be toward the rear of the mounting
base.
Slide the amplifier-power supply straight back until it is fully
seated against the guide pin assembly (Q), located on the mounting base.
(7) Tighten the fasteners (O) over the hooks (P) until the amplifier-
power supply (J) is securely attached to the mounting base (D).
(8) Connect the quick-release ground connector ((C) and (N)), located
on the rear of the amplifier-power supply (J) and the receiver-exciter (B),
to the mounting base (D).
(9) Connect the power cable to connector J101 (K) located on the rear
of the amplifier-power supply (J).
(10) If AN/VIC-1(V) is to be used, connect the intercommunication
cable to connector J102 (L) on the rear of the amplifier-power supply (J).
(11) If the parallel radio set is to be used, connect its power cable
to connector J103 (M) on the rear of the amplifier-power supply (J).
(12) Connect the RF cable to the BNC connector (G) on the amplifier-
coupler (B).
