VERIFY THAT THE VEHICLE ELECTRICAL POWER IS PROPERLY TURNED OFF IN THE
FOLLOWING STEP. OTHERWISE, ELECTRICAL VOLTAGES MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY OR
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(3) Verify that the vehicle power is turned off.
If necessary, turn
the vehicle power off.
(4) Disconnect the power cable from connector J101 (K) located on the
rear of the amplifier-power supply (J).
(5) If AN/VIC1(V) is used, disconnect the intercommunication cable
from connector J102 (L) on the rear of the amplifier-power supply (J).
(6) If the parallel radio set is used, disconnect its power cable
from connector J103 (M) on the rear of the amplifier-power supply (J).
(7) Disconnect the quick-release ground connectors ((C) and (N))
located on the rear of the amplifier-power supply (J), from the mounting
base (D).
(8) Loosen and disengage the fasteners (O) from the hooks (P) located
on the front of the amplifier-power supply (J).
(9) Slide the amplifier-power supply (J) forward until it clears the
guide pin assemblies (Q) and lift the amplifier-power supply with the
latched receiver-exciter (E) and the amplifier-coupler (B) free of the
(10) Disconnect the AN/PRC-104(A) power cable from connector J104 (R),
located on the rear of the amplifier-power supply (J).
(11) Disconnect the audio cable to the lower AUDIO connector (F) on
the receiver-exciter (E).
(12) Loosen the fasteners (I) from the hooks located on the front of
the receiver-exciter (E) and the amplifier-coupler (B).
(13) Slide the latched receiver-exciter (E) and the amplifier-coupler
(B) forward to disengage the retaining cleats, and lift them from the
amplifier-power supply (J).
