k. Telegraph key replacement instructions.
To replace the telegraph
key, proceed as follows (see Figure 33):
(1) Disconnect the telegraph key from the upper AUDIO connector (H)
on the receiver-exciter (E).
(2) Connect
the
replacement
telegraph
key
to
the
upper
AUDIO
connector (H).
l. Loudspeaker replacement instructions.
To replace the loudspeaker,
proceed as follows (see Figure 33):
(1) Disconnect the loudspeaker cable from the SPEAKER AUDIO connector
(V) on the amplifier-power supply (J).
(2) Remove the two bolts that secure the loudspeaker to the vehicle
to free the loudspeaker.
(3) Install
the
replacement
loudspeaker.
Use
two
bolts,
star
washers, and nuts.
(4) Connect the cable of the replacement loudspeaker to the SPEAKER
AUDIO connector (V).
(5) Complete a minimum
performance
test
to
verify
the
proper
operation of the AN/GRC-213.
m. Insulator.
To replace the dipole insulator, proceed as follows (see
Figure 34):
(1) Remove the two wing nuts from the posts, and remove the antenna
wires from the insulator.
(2) Disconnect the RF cable from the insulator.
(3) Connect the RF cable to the replacement insulator.
(4) Connect the antenna wires over the posts on the insulator, and
screw on the wing nuts to secure the antenna wires to the insulator.
