b. Possible bad equipment. First, turn the system power switches off
and identify the possible bad items of equipment. Tracing the power circuit
at Figure 19, you will see the possible bad items of equipment are the MX-
7777B, CX-13089, MT-1029, RT-524 or 246, J-3513, CX-4723, and AM-1780. The
troubleshooting technique for this type of defect (a short) is continuity
checks.

c. Test equipment.
Set up the multimeter AN/PSM-45 for continuity
measurement, as follows:
Correctly connect test leads to the meter.
Power button ON.
Ohm function button IN.
