Check the possible bad items, individually:
Disconnect the CX-4723 from J501 on the AM-1780 and read the test
set display.
This removes the AM-1780 from the power input
circuit.
If the meter now shows infinite ohms, the AM-1780 is bad.
Send
to Intermediate Direct Support (IDS) for repair.
If the meter still shows zero ohms, the AM-1780 is not bad and
more checks are needed (Figure 21).
NOTE:
All items of equipment that are sent to Intermediate Direct Support
(IDS) and COMSEC support maintenance for repair, must be accompanied
by a DA Form 2407 Maintenance Request.
