If the measurement is less than ten ohms, the circuit is shorted.
Remove the CX-4723 from the AM-1780 J501 and remeasure continuity
at MT-1029 J24 pin S to pin A.
If the measurement is more than ten ohms, the AM-1780 is bad.
Send to IDS for repair.
If the measurement is less than ten ohms, disassemble the MT-
1029.
Remove the CX-4723 from the J-3513/U J7.
Remeasure J24 pin S to pin A.
If the measurement is more than ten ohms, the CX-4723 is bad and
must be replaced.
If the measurement is less than ten ohms, remove the J-3513/U P1
from the MT-1029 J22.
Remeasure J24 pin S to pin A.
If the measurement is infinity, the J-3513/U is bad.
Send to
COMSEC maintenance for repair.
If zero ohms is measured, the MT-1029
is
bad.
Repair
if
possible, if not send to IDS for repair.
i. Test procedure 45. With the X-MODE cap replaced to the RT X-MODE
jack (Test procedure 44), rushing noise is heard. Measure continuity on the
CX-13064/U P3 pin C to pin A.
If infinity is measured, an open exists.
Remove the CX-13064/U from the J-3513/U J6 and measure continuity
of the CX-13064/U P3 pin C to P1 pin K and P3 pin A to P1 pin P.
If either measurement is infinity, the CX-13064/U is bad.
Send
to COMSEC maintenance for repair.
If both measurements are zero ohms, the J-3513/U is bad.
Send to
COMSEC maintenance for repair.
j. Test procedure 46. When measuring continuity on the CX-13064/U P3
pin C to pin A, zero ohms is measured.
Measure CX-13064/U P3 (pin C or pin A) to pin F (ground not shown
in Figure) for a short.
If less than ten ohms is measured, a short exists within the CX-
13061/U, CX-13064/U, J-3513/U, or KY-57.
