The demodulator demodulates the PAM waveform to reconstruct an
approximation of the original waveform.
The higher the sample
frequency, the more accurate is the receiver waveform reproduction.

TDM with PCM has several significant advantages over FDM
for
multichannel radio system applications. Some key advantages are:
(1) Greater Signal-to-Noise Ratio.
(2) Lower Power Consumption.
(3) Ease of Encryption.
(4) Lower Weight and Cost per Channel.
(5) Ease of Alignment.
(6) Simplicity of Repair.
Multichannel radio systems transmit information for a diverse variety
of purposes.
They transmit voice, data, teletype, and facsimile
inputs.
Figure 1-6 illustrates an example of each type of input
device.
