(2) Multiplexer set TD-352/U.
The TD-352 is a multiplexer
commonly used in medium capacity multichannel systems.
It converts
twelve 4-wire voice frequency channels to TDM-PCM signals for
transmission over a radio and/or cable system.
It also converts
received TDM-PCM signals to 12 audio channels.
Operation over radio systems requires a radio interface unit (TD-
202), and coaxial cable operations require a cable interface (TD-
204). We discuss these units in later paragraphs. Two TD-352s and
either a TD-202 or TD-204 provide 24-channel operation. The TD-352/U
measures 13.75" X 17" X 20" and weighs 102 pounds.
