(1) Multiplexer sets TD-660/G and TD-660A/G. The TD-660 is the
associated multiplexer unit for low capacity assemblages.
It
converts six or twelve 4-wire voice frequency channels to a TDM-PCM
signal, and vice versa.
It uses solid-state electronic components, consisting largely of
integrated circuits (ICs).
Ten plug-in panels contain these ICs,
including a single unit power supply subassembly.
Nonsecure
communications systems use TD-660/G and secure systems use TD-660A/G.
The TD-660 measures 10.5" X 17.25" X 12" and weighs 49 pounds (lbs.).
