(3) Multiplexer set TD-754/G.
The TD-754 is a 6/12/24/48-
channel TDM-PCM cable transmission interface unit. It conditions the
input/output signal of a PCM multiplexer (such as TD-660) for
transmission over coaxial cable.
Cable terminals and attended
repeater stations use the TD-754. Radio-to-cable conversion stations
require one TD-754, while attended cable repeater stations require
two.
The TD-754 also provides power for pulse form restorers TD-206/G. It
powers up to 39 TD-206s in the transmission line.
The TD-754
measures 8.5" X 17.25" X 12" and weighs 45 pounds. Figure 1-9
illustrates the TD-754/G.
