STEP 4.

Connect the terminal lug attached to the red and white

wires of the battery power cable to the positive (+)

terminal of one vehicle battery. Connect the terminal lug

attached to the black and green wires of the battery power

cable to the negative (-) terminal of the other vehicle

battery.

CAUTION

REVERSE POLARITY OF BATTERY CABLE WILL DAMAGE THE AM-7152.

STEP 5.

For cables running along the vehicle floor, hold the guard

assembly in position on the vehicle floor and mark 10

positions for holes, using the guard assembly as a

template.

STEP 6.

Drill the ten 1/8-inch-diameter holes marked in step 5.

STEP 7.

Install the guard assembly with 10 size 10 self-tapping

screws.

Route the battery power cable through the guard

assembly during installation.

Connection of the battery

power cable to AN/GRC-213 is covered in paragraph 5.

STEP 8.

Ensure that the quick-release ground cable (B) from the

back bottom side of the upper tray is connected to the

quick-release ground cable (C) on the back top side of the

lower tray on the mounting base.

Connect, if necessary.

Connection of the quick-release ground cables on the top

side of the upper tray to AN/GRC-213 is covered in the

paragraph, Interconnections, in paragraph 5.
