h. Installation of the attaching parts for the AN/GRC-213 loudspeaker

in steps 1 and 2 must be performed at the same time as the AN/GRC-213

installation.

Perform steps 1 through 7 for installation of the

loudspeaker. (See Figure 9.)

STEP 1.

Hold the loudspeaker (part of AN/GRC-213) in the preferred

location, and mark two positions for mounting holes, using

the loudspeaker support bracket (part of the loudspeaker)

as a template.

STEP 2.

Drill the two 9/32-inch-diameter holes marked in step 1,

and install the loudspeaker with two 1/4-inch x 3/4-inch

bolts, two 1/4-inch star washers, and two 1/4-inch nuts

(A).

STEP 3.

Remove all the metal shavings and chips from within the

vehicle body.

STEP 4.

Place the cable clamps from the cable clamp kit on the

antenna cable and battery power cable, as required, and

secure it with twelve 1/4-inch nuts, six 1/4-inch lock

washers, and clamp strap fastener assemblies (B).

STEP 5.

Apply a light coat of forest green paint to all bare metal

exposed during drilling and installation.
