d. Perform an EPC as explained in the following instructions. The EPC
is the same thing as an operation check.
The EPC applies to the AN/PRC-
104(A) (ignoring instructions for AM-7152).
10. EQUIPMENT PERFORMANCE CHECK (OPERATION CHECK). The EPC is done on the
AN/GRC-213 when it is installed on an installation kit in a vehicle and
before each use. This test is comprised of three sections which check the
receiver function, the transmitter function, and the overall AN/GRC-213.
The entire test should be completed to verify that the set is operating
properly. If any of the minimum test requirements outlined in the EPC are
not attained or if fault tones are evident, repair at organizational level
maintenance or prepare for a higher level of maintenance if necessary.
a. Receiver function.
To check the receiver function of the AN/GRC-
213, proceed as follows. (See Figure 22.)
